Mark Zeffiro

Mr. Zeffiro is president and chief executive officer of Horizon Global, a position he has held since the Company’s inception in 2015. Mr. Zeffiro is also Co-Chairman of the board of directors. Mr. Zeffiro oversees the strategic direction of the Michigan-based $600 million company, a leading designer, manufacturer and distributor of high-quality, custom-engineered towing, trailering and related products. With 2,800 employees in 20 countries, Horizon Global is the only manufacturer and distributor of branded towing and trailering products on a global basis. Over the past 25 years, Mr. Zeffiro gained broad global and leadership experience across several diverse industries. Most recently, Mr. Zeffiro served as executive vice president and chief financial officer of TriMas Corporation, a diversified global manufacturer of engineered and applied products for commercial, industrial and consumer markets. He joined TriMas in June 2008 and was promoted to executive vice president in May 2013, a position he held until January 2015. While at TriMas, Mr. Zeffiro realigned the capital structure and increased cash flow, resulting in a significant increase in shareholder value. Prior to TriMas, Mr. Zeffiro spent four years at Black & Decker Corporation, a global manufacturer of quality power tools and accessories, hardware, home improvement products and fastening systems. He served as vice president of Finance for Global Consumer Products Group and Latin America and vice president of Finance for the U.S. Consumer Products Group. In addition, Mr. Zeffiro was directly responsible for and functioned as general manager of Black & Decker’s factory store business unit. Mr. Zeffiro began his career at General Electric Company (GE), a diversified technology and financial services company, where he spent 15 years in roles of progressive responsibility, culminating in the position of chief financial officer of the Americas and Global Imaging Equipment division within the GE Medical Systems Group. In 2015, Mr. Zeffiro was appointed to the Board of Directors of Atkore International Group, Inc., a privately-held company that designs and manufactures galvanized steel tubing and pipe products that include electrical conduit, fire sprinkler pipe, light gauge steel tube and fence pipe. Currently, Mr. Zeffiro serves on the Board of Directors of the Detroit Institute of Arts, where he is Chair of the Finance Committee; and the Board of Trustees of Walsh College, where he sits on the Academic Committee. Mr. Zeffiro was born in Hartford, Connecticut and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Quantitative Analysis from Bentley College.
