Tradition of The M&A Advisor Awards

The M&A Advisor was the first organization to recognize achievements of the middle-market mergers and acquisitions professionals and firms. Building upon the stellar success of the tradition, the Middle-Market Financing Awards is an independently judged competition.

Moreover, any industry professional is able to submit nominations in one or several categories of awards on behalf of their clients, their peers from the industry, and/or on behalf of their organization and colleagues.

The award winners are revealed for the first time during the Awards Gala—a gathering of top level professionals from the industry. 

 Selection and Judging Process

Winners of the Awards are chosen by an independent panel of judges. The judging process does not factor in nomination history, meaning candidacies are evaluated without prejudice in regard to who filed the entries.

Judges are enlisted from the ranks of experienced industry professionals encompassing veteran financial professionals, academics, consultants and service providers. Judges are volunteers and are not past or present employees of, nor consultants to, or have business affiliation with The M&A Advisor organization. All judges sign non-disclosure agreement forms. 

Criteria for judging is based on several features including quantitative factors such as transaction value, impact on shareholder/company value, etc. Qualitative considerations include impact of the deal in the market/industry, ingenuity, diligence and perseverance in consummating the deal, among other striking attributes.  

The Middle-Market Financing Awards Gala will be held at the Drake Hotel, the evening of June 9, 2008 beginning at 6:30 pm. Winners must be present to receive their awards.

The Awards Gala is black-tie event. Alternatively, polished business attire and neck-tie is acceptable.
